The features available will change depending on the game-from exchanging data or unlocking new game levels, to allowing the Game Boy Advance to be used as a supplemental game screen or input device. Only games displaying the icon 'Game Boy Advance Compatible' (on the back of the Nintendo GameCube games) or 'Nintendo GameCube Compatible' (on the back of the Game Boy Advance games) can be used with this cable.
Buyer Reviews : This new GameCube-Game Boy Advance game link is the future of gaming. It will open up new worlds to gamers. Like previewing and choosing plays in secrecy on your GBA screen, or viewing the map of an RPG or adventure game your playing for GameCube, or even using the GBA as an extra GameCube controller. The possibilities are endless. And developers ARE noticing this. Already Sonic Adventure 2 Battle can use it for the Chao garden, and Animal Forest Plus (making it's way to North America later this year) uses the link as well. But other developers have hinted at there wanting to take advtange of it. Square said that they want to create a Final Fantasy game (yes, there back together) for GameCube and GBA that would use the link cable for something. The link it's self is very easy to use. Just plug the one end into a controller port on your GameCube, and plug the other end into the top of your GBA (the same place where the multiplayer link goes in). It has a lock on there so it fastens to your GBA so it can't accidently fall out, like in the early prototype. The transfer of data does take a little time, of course. But the wait isn't that bad. It usualy never last more then 15 seconds. Unfortunately you will not be able to play GBA games online threw this cable, as it is not fast enough to transfer the data at a fast enough speed. It would require a much thicker, and expensive wire. This is one accesory I highly suggest you buy if you own a GameCube and a Game Boy Advance...
