Of all the games in Electronic Arts's 2002 sports lineup, FIFA 2002 has received the biggest overhaul. The game looks vastly different from the 2001 edition, has some interesting gameplay enhancements, and features several new modes. The graphics look better than ever--players are extremely detailed and the ground textures are phenomenal. Although it's still in beta, the game sports the best-looking grass we've seen in a video game. The passing system offers an unprecedented degree of control. Players manipulate the curve of the pass and control how hard or soft it is. The game also has new tackling and referee models. The timing and angle of your tackles will determine success, as well as potential rebuke from the ref. An incredible 500 teams are available, spanning 16 leagues and more than 175 countries. The new gameplay enhancements are still being tweaked, so it's too early to judge how much of an improvement the new passing and tackling models are. In terms of its presentation, though, the game is far superior to the previous version Buyer Reviews : Features/Technical Specs : What people search: |
