As an Xbox Live enthusiast, this game is a thorn in my side. As much as I love playing the online-enabled games, Tiger Woods 2003 has taken my time away from all of them. The game is highly addictive and visually STUNNING. The courses are beautifully replicated throughout the game. The shots, the background noises...even the splash in the water sound/look authentic.
The game's most addictive feature is the Tiger Challenge, where you create your own golfer and go through a series of 'challenges' to earn money. The money you earn is spent improving the different aspects of your game. IE...Putting, Spin Control, Accuracy, Power, etc... As you improve your ratings in each category, you become better and certain skills. Improved ratings also open up new equipment such as shafts, heads, balls and gloves which you can switch to.
The game is fantastic and a great cure for all of us living in cold weather climates longing for the warm Spring weather to return. Until it does, PGA Tour 2003 is getting my undivided attention.
