So.... you're looking for a system, or you want some information on one. First, you should no that not one of the next-generation systems (Gamecube, PS2, Xbox) is a bad horrible worthless peice of junk no matter how many reviews you read. Each one has its own qualities. However you should take a look at them to see which one you want best. I happen to own a Gamecube, since I have always like Nintendo, but you might not want one. Gamecube is very good if you like a very straightforward, easy to use system with very good graphics and good play control. Four player simultaneous! (whoop-dee-do) The bad parts are that it doesn't have a very big game selection (80 more games are coming out for it before the end of the year though) and, it lacks a DVD player. Even so, the DVD player was taken out because of its nice compact size.
Playstation 2 is a very well rounded system with a huge video game library, and a DVD and CD player. It's controller is a bit less comfotable than Gamecube's but is pretty good for all sizes of hands. Also, if you want four players you need a Multitap. The console itself is smaller than it looks in pictures and should fit in any entertainment center. Even though I saw great picture quality on my friend's PS2, the DVD player has been known to be cheap. I highly recommend this system.
Okay! If you want top of the line super duper most recent graphics out of a system, get yourself an Xbox. The Microsoft videogame console (yes, that's right) has a DVD player, four controller sockets, more pixels than you could ask for, .... This console seems to be aimed at adults, since a lot of the games are fighting and shooting. You may not want this system either. There, if this article doesn't help you decide, than you need a magic 8 ball.
